Supervision tasks during turnarounds or shut downs and conversion resp. new construction measures:

Plants of  reference  are  Shell, BP, MIRO Refinery and Leuna refinery’s
Construction and production supervision, as well as welding supervision during the new construction and repair of pipings , equipments and pressure vessels on the basis of valid regulations within the following scope:

  • Supervision that the specifications of regulations , works specification and manufacturing  or repair documents are observed on site and in welding/assembly operation
  • Preparation resp. editing of necessary documents for welding supervision of equipment   ( isometric drawings , drawings , welding and testing plans )
  • Co-ordination of required NDT including assessment of x/y-ray films and other test certificates
  • Supervision of heat treatment before and after welding including the examination of the certificates
  • Co-ordination of action resp. consulting of authorized experts in the case of equipment   subject to supervision
  • Acceptance of Quality-control-measures (construction and pressure tests etc. ) after welding and/or  assembly work , if required in co-operation with the authorized expert responsible
  • Drawing up/compiling of required final documentation including necessary authorized   expert certificates and tests


Inspection tasks during turnarounds:

Inspection during the revision of air coolers, heat exchangers, towers / columns, drums, reactors and pipingsystem

  • Assessment of operational reliability of the above plant equipment on the basis of inside and outside condition
  • Interpretation of corrosion and wear features
  • Choice of suitable repair measures
  • Supervision of repair work and non-destructive material testing
  • Co-ordination of action resp. consulting of authorized persons in the case of equipment   subject to supervision
  • Acceptance of construction and pressure tests if required in co-operation with the authorized expert responsible
  • Drawing up of required documentation / reports


Quality control / Material testing

  • Quality control / Material and certificate testing
  •  Inspection of piping components at main and component suppliers on site, as well as checking of incoming attests and certificates as regards content and completeness. The scope of checking covers components such as:  slide valves, valves, butterfly valves, pipes, flanges,  
    safety valves, fire extinguishing devices…etc...
     

Planning / Construction:

Planning of new plants and conversion or extension measures in / of existing plants or parts of plants , in TEAM together with the operating bodies’ own or externally commissioned planning departments / offices .
Preparation of layout and piping plans, product flow sheets ,
R + I-diagrams (R+I = regulation and installation ), isometric drawings . Survey of existing plants / plant areas and afterwards drawing up of AS BUILT documentation.
The same procedure as above for electric and electrical measuring and control instruments , of the new or converted plants or parts of plants.

 

Production supervision

Production supervision of equipments , pressure equipment , pumps, fittings , associated semi-finished products and plant components at the manufacturers at home and abroad .
Supervision of order stipulations regarding legal specifications , regulations , rules , standards and customer company standards .
Follow up of schedule ( Expediting ), for production monitoring at manufacturers and suppliers at home and abroad .

Sample 1  Shell Refinery
Execution of inspection activities and technical expediting for quality control of the convection and radiation section of a furnace DD-1091 within the scope of the project   “  Repair Convection Section DD-1091 “ ,  including necessary production control at the suppliers’ production centres as agreed with the specialized technical department .

Sample 2  BP Refinery
Production supervision and expediting , according to company standards and corresponding regulations , for approx. 100 heat exchangers , various drums , towers , columns and their built-in components , fittings , reactors, exchanger pipes etc. and the required NDT at home and abroad.
